More About MeI have over 35 years experience in the information technology industry. My positions have included a data center manager, a director of development teams, and a developer in several langauges. The past 26 years, I have been a Senior Level Progress OpenEdge professional. My roles have included a Database Architect and Administrator, Application Designer and Developer, Application Server Administration and Developer, and all other aspects of systems design.

My position as Lead Progress Developer includes but is not limited to: Developing Add-on systems that integrate with the Infor SXe platform. These systems include Synchronous and Asynchronous socket communication handlers (messaging system to talk with Biztalk and Websphere), Vendor and Customer interfaces, Oracle Projects, Radio Frequency handheld scanner shipment audit and loading system, Integration with MyLogistic logistic system, Web Change management system ( tracking, decision controls, Estimates, Product maintenance, Time entry and workflow) and Design applications to assist in TWL implementations.
Additional duties have included: mentoring the development staff, assist in Progress V10 upgrades, database design and development, RF Product recommendation and setup, Infor SXe build and setup, and systems design and documentation.
Developed a specialized Reservation Center that allowed contractors to take a pre-determined BOM and release material to a specific location.
Full DBA responsibility.

My position included but was not limited to: managing a three person development team. Design, develop, document, implement and provide client support for the company’s applications. Design and administer application databases. Research, proof and implement new technologies. Maintain the company’s internal servers and applications. Work with company’s implementation team to assist in developing procedures and training. Perform client training sessions on new product development. Provide guidance and direction to the company’s owners.

Duties included but were not limited to: Managing all aspects of the information services division. These duties included: Software development, designing, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation. Developed and implemented all operational systems; developed and performed all informational training; Carried out troubleshooting of system and hardware problems; coordinated shared resources with other agencies and assisted them in obtaining data; performed system integrations of new technologies; performed network, database, and voice response system administration.
